A lot of eyes are on 15-year old musician Billie Eilish as her debut EP “dont smile at me” draws nearer to its August 11th release date.
Through Interscope/Darkroom Records, the latest “COPYCAT” is here and it’s a doozy. The dark pop niche filled by this masterpiece makes you feel a whole lot in 3 minutes. On the subject matter, the singer told Billboard:
“I knew exactly what I wanted to write about. It’s really cliché of this to happen, because yeah, as you get more recognized and [are] more of a big deal, then people start copying everything you do. But if you’re going to do everything I do, what’s the point of even trying to be you, if you’re not even you at all?”
Eilish has already gotten around to announcing a fall tour of North America even. You better really pay attention to this future star.
