With so much good music being released all the time, it can be hard to determine what to listen to first. Every week, Pitchfork offers a run-down of significant new releases available on streaming services. This week’s batch includes new albums and compilations by JAY-Z, Beach House, Calvin Harris, Public Enemy, Washed Out, TLC, and Kacy Hill.
JAY-Z returns with 4:44, a new Tidal-exclusive album. The record features Beyoncé, Frank Ocean, The-Dream, and others. The album was led by several trailers: One starred Mahershala Ali and Danny Glover, and another starred Lupita Nyong’o. 4:44 follows 2013’s Magna Carta Holy Grail.
