The Los Angeles Police Department is reportedly investigating Lil’ Kim’s involvement in an alleged robbery that took place in the early hours of Sunday (June 25).
At around 2 a.m., Kim and an entourage reportedly visited a home that she rented for a BET Awards party. According to TMZ, she asked for her money back because she wasn’t pleased with the home, resulting in an argument.
Police were called, but they said they couldn’t do anything about the civil matter. Kim and her entourage reportedly left the scene, as well.
At approximately 4 a.m., a group of armed people in ski masks arrived at the house. They took Kim’s deposit check and cash, worth at least $20,000, and they slashed “the victim’s tires and stole a hubcap.”
An investigation was soon launched by the Los Angeles Police Department. According to the TMZ story, Kim is being looked at as a potential person of interest.
Kim is reportedly in town to honor Mobb Deep’s Prodigy, who died at the age of 42 just days ago, on June 20. According to Billboard, the BET Awards is set to honor P with a tribute featuring his partner-in-rhyme Havoc and Lil’ Kim. The trio famously collaborated on 1999’s “Quiet Storm (Remix).”
