dawson. has not provided all that much information about himself, other than he’s “THE BEST KEPT SECRET.” According to his SoundCloud account, he’s based in Ashville, and he’s tagged artists like Post Malone and Russ on the song. From “Zip Code,” dawson. definitely bears a resemblance to Post, though he perhaps swings a little closer to R&B than Malone. Bryson Tiller would be an equally apt comparison, and producer Young B. has given dawson some swelling late-night synths to sell the sound pretty well.
